Pinkeye, Thankfulness and Nursery

Being confined to a single room on our first floor finally had a benefit when we found out yesterday that little guy had pinkeye from exposure at daycare last week. At least I only had one room to disinfect! We were very thankful yesterday to receive a very thoughtful care package from a marriage encounter family. Turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, veggies and cinnamon cake! What a treat to have a real home cooked dinner after all our frozen microwaved concoctions and grilled pizza over the last few weeks. We devoured every last morsel in a matter of minutes!

On another note, I have been thinking a lot about the nursery for our soon to be Ethiopian baby. Originally I thought I would paint the walls in stripes to match the Ethiopian flag. That drew a lot of negative press from the relatives given that my mother in law and I spent an incredible number of hours decorating our Guatemalan son's room with Guatemalan animals and village scenes. In my defence, it is a lot harder to find time to do that intricate of painting without a toddler and a huge remodel going on. Beside, as soon as he gets to be around 4, he will probably want it painted over with something Disney! Augh! That will break my heart! Well, after some thought, I think I have some ideas....more to come on this subject at a later date.
